Tribute to Richard Chamberlain

Posted March 24th, 2000.

I am so sorry that I don't have any pictures for you. I'm afraid I am much too shy to go up to him.
I actually rode on a plane with him last oktober, from Indianapolis, on Continental Airlines, to Cleveland, then on to Boston, but I left after a day for New York and didn't get to see him in SOM there.

On the first leg of the flight, he sat by himself and was very quiet. He wore glasses and read a newspaper. On the next plane, he sat with someone but didn't say a word.
He seems incredibly shy. And so sweet! When the plane rose off the ground, he braced himself with his hands tight on the armrests. How cute! He kept fidgetting--like he was nervous, or maybe his legs were cramped. I don't know, what I do know is that he has the softest, featherd silver-brown hair in the world!!
I stared at him the whole flight! Yum, Yum! He's a sexy man for 65 (or is it 66)!! I just wanted to go over and hold his hand. He wasn't on the plane with the other cast members, he must fly seperately. He was all alone. And no one recognized him but me. But I simply don't dare go up to him and ask him for an autograph. Or to take a picture.
I know he seems so wonderfully good-natured and I should grab my chance, as it is once-in-a-lifetime but I am so perceptive, I'm afraid if I sensed that I have bothered him and he got upset with me, I would cry a whole sea of tears--for eternity!!!
I'm simply too bashful to approach him, but I'm glad there are people who are able to talk with him. The pictures on your site are great!
It was a surprise in St.Louis when he came out with the Rams cap on. If I had a camera with me that night, I would have flashed that moment and I'd be glad to share that with your site.

Thanks for a fun and informative site.

You Two Have A Great Day!!
