Laura Benanti
She graduated in 1997 at Kinnelon High School.
She studied her voice with her mom and she
dreamed of being on Broadway.
Her dream came through and her debut on Broadway
was in
the Sound of Music on March 10th 1999, as
Maria Rainer.
A fresh new talent acting with the 'all round'
actor Richard Chamberlain.
At the Paper Mill Playhouse Laura appeared
in Jane Eyre and Man of La Mancha and at the Ensemble Studio Theatre in
City of Dreams.
At the York Theatre Company as Charity Grace
Royal in their production Summer.
Paper Mill Playhouse honored Laura with their
first Rising Star Award for Outstanding Performances by an actress in the
Leading Role.
Nowadays she is playing in the musical 'Swing'
on Broadway.
