Chamberlain didn't do any research for his part.
"I went by the script," he says. 
"We had a lot of boxing people around, and they told me what to do. 
I didn't have to do much actual fist-cuffing in it. I'm a little old for that!"

World premiere of the new Irish film in Cork Ireland.
The film's stars, Michael Madsen, Vinnie Jones, 
Richard Chamberlain, Patrick Bergin, Finbar Furey
and Gail Fitzpatrick, will all be in attendance at the
screening at the Cork Opera House
on 19 November 2007,
with proceeds going to the Marymount Hospice.

The film tells the story of an Irish-American boxer 
(Madsen) who promised his late wife he would never 
fight again having killed his friend in the ring. 

However, when he discovers that his only son is dying of the same
hereditary heart disorder that killed his wife, he is forced to go back 
on his promise and become a bare knuckle boxer in order
to raise money for the boy's life-saving surgery. 

 Will be released in Irish cinemas on 30 November 2007!
'Strength and Honour' recently won Best Picture at the 
Boston Film Festival, with star Madsen 
also honoured with the Best Actor award.

The film is shot in Los Angeles and Cork, Ireland.
