THE KING IS HERE: Richard Chamberlain, who is starring as the king of Siam in Hawaii Opera Theatre's hit production of "The King & I," was greeted by Julie Aragaki, left, and Tracy Elkind as he arrived at Louis Vuitton Ala Moana for a champagne reception Sunday. Cast members, HOT executives, major backers and invited VIP guests enjoyed two hours of champagne, Italian hors d'oeuvres and conversation. Many took advantage of the opportunity to get a photo with Chamberlain and congratulate him on the depth of his performance. "The King & I" closes with performances tonight through Sunday.

ALL SMILES: Stephen Quinn celebrated the show's opening with Kristian Lei. Quinn plays Sir Edward Ramsey, former beau of the schoolteacher Anna. Lei plays the role of Tuptim.

MEET RIHO: Jordan Segundo, right, introduced gal pal Riho Shiraishi to Kevin Yamada. Yamada, a stage veteran, stands out as Phra Alack, one of the major secondary roles. Segundo plays Lun Tha, one of the show's star-crossed lovers.
