"Oh, man what...I love to have done it with you!" Richard: "I would love to have done it with you, baby!" Donny: "Oh....!" "It's day time Marie!" Marie: "Wait a minute......I'm talking Sound of Music!" Donny: "Sound of Music, Okay!" Richard: "We're having a real good time with it!" "It is such a wonderful show." Marie: "It's an incredible show." Richard: "And the audiences love it so much." Marie: "I think you are the perfect Captain Von Trapp." Richard: "Well, I like the role a lot, I really like him a lot." Donny: "What is it about the role that you like so much?" Richard: "Well, a lot more happens to him and a lot more goes on for him than you imagine and.... Marie: "He is very dysfunctional!." Richard: "Very dysfunctional." Marie: "Very dysfunctional." Richard: "He is holding himself together, I think through the super organization and then Maria comes in and gives what for being so bad with kids and then he falls in love with her and he changes and then the Nazi's come and they have to escape.... Marie: "It is very...his love of country..." Richard: "All kinds of stuff....." Donny: "I would love to see the two of you play that part together..!" Richard: "Well, that....Why not?" Marie: "Would be wonderful!" "Now, who are you doing it with...?" "What's her name?" Richard: "Meg.....Meg Tolin" "She is wonderful!" Marie: "Meg Tolin....well, if Meg ever gets sick.....I know the lines!" Richard: "Okay, okay! Okay!" |

"Congratulations, you had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame." Richard: "Yes, I couldn't believe it!" "I've got a star down there now." Marie: "We have right here....it" "Isn't it wonderful?" Richard: "It is just right that!" "Yeh!"..... "I mean it is amazing, when you actually see it there." "It is real and people are going start walking over it.... ohhhh wait a minute...." "But anyway it is wonderful!" Marie: "Was it a balladation for you?" "What was it?" Richard: "In a way." "It is like...now really belong to the community irrevocably!" Donny: "Right!" "It is there for ever." Richard: "Yeh." Donny: "That's kind of make you feel great!" "I don't know what that feels like...anyway uh...I don't have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!" Richard: "It's time you got one!" Marie: "Well,.....I do!" Donny: "You do?" Marie: "No!" Donny: "Oh!" |

"You live in Hawaii?" Richard: "Yes, I live in Hawaii." Marie: "I didn't realize that you live in Hawaii." Richard: "Yeh, I love Hawaii!" Donny: "When did you move there?" Richard: "About 10 years ago; I've got a house there for about 24 years." Donny: "Why Hawaii?" "Well, obvious reasons, but.... Richard: "It's so beautiful." "The people are sweet." "Nobody cares about show business, which I found a great re-leave after living in Los Angeles for most of my life." Donny: "And that is important to you?" Richard: "Yeh, I like that; I like that fact that you can just be a person there." "And it doesn't matter what you drive or what party's you go to or..." Donny: "Which Island?" Richard: "Oahu." Marie: "There is a lot of treats for that maintenance that has to be done sometimes." Richard: "A lot of maintenance in this town." |

"Like going to party's and doing things and....." Richard: "Yeh, but I love LA, I just like Hawaii better." "But you have to get off the island once in a while and go to New York." Donny: "You get island fever?" Richard: "I don't but it is...I think, it is larger I work a lot elsewhere." Donny: "Yeh." Marie: "You say New York, do you love New York?" Richard: "I love New York." Marie: "It is the best....so fun!" Richard: "I love New York!" Marie: "LA is great too, but I really love New York." "I love them both." Richard: "And LA is terrific too." Marie: "There is a great energy, there is a different energy in both places." Richard: "Yes, very different!" Donny: "I see you have the best of all worlds: you work and travel and live in Hawaii." Richard: "Yes, that's a great thing of being an actor!" "You get to move around and experience, everything." Donny: "You get home often?" "I mean, you are on the road..." Richard: "Oh...yeh...no...I have been on the road for a long time." |
