The film released in 1965.

I’ll bring you the gift of a sky full of bluebirds
with never the sign of a cloud up above,
I’ll bring you the lilt of the laughter of children
and joy in the morning love.

Joy, joy, joy in the morning, Joy in the morning as
long as you live; And these are the things I will give to my darlin’,
These are the things to my darlin’ I’ll give.

Richard sings the the song written by Sammy Fain, lyrics written by Paul Francis Webster.
The film’s music, composed and conducted by Bernard Hermann, features 44 string instruments..

The film is based on the novel ‘Joy in the Morning’ written by Betty Smith.

A realistic portrayal of Betty Smith’s
personal experience.

As a young girl at the University
of Michigan she falls in love with
and marries a fellow law student.

This poignant, extremely, touching love story set in a 1920s traditional mid western campus:
The University of Michigan.
